"W kręgu magii"
a language and culture workshop is related to St Andrew’s Day in Poland. During this workshop you will learn more about the tradition of fortune-telling on St. Andrew’s Day. You create your own fortune telling in Polish in groups and have fun.
“Pasty, paprykarze i inne smarowidła”
the most interesting Polish breakfast and supper dishes for every season, various diets and societies. You will learn the names of herbs, vegetables, fruits and the idioms connected to them. You will get to make one of your chosen dishes.
DUMPLINGS FESTIVITY "Ser i ziemniaki”
the most typical Polish combination named pierogi ruskie. But do not fret – more amazing traditional mixes will be presented: with mushrooms, pickled cabage or pearl barley. You will get to learn the names of products and verbs naming the activities connected with the process of dumpling making.
“Przypadkowy ból głowy”
You already know all the endings, you’ve analyzed various grammar tables, but you still have a problem when to use the accusative, when to use the genitive, and what about the dative? In this workshop we will practice all cases in various dialogues and situational scenes.
Happy people do not measure time, but even though we are happy, we will learn about time, or rather times in Polish. In this workshop you will be telling, planning and reporting live. We combine the past, present and future into one whole and help you find the right direction. Perfective and imperfective aspect will no longer haunt you at night.
“Jak to poprawnie odmienić?”
Verb conjugation is a real challenge, especially the irregular one. You will practice conjugations in different contexts. This workshop is a great training for developing ready-made mechanisms for using the correct forms. We will look for analogies and combine verbs with similar conjugation to remember them better.
“Szumi i szeleści”
is an extraordinary mixation of phonetics and music. You will be able to train your vocal tract in expressing even the hardest sounds, expecially those used by Polish speakers. You will learn and sing Polish version of „Happy Birthday’s Song” and one other chosen piece. In groups you will write your own song about chosen topic of life in Poland.
In small groups we perform language tasks. We are looking for answers to questions, we propose solutions and we accost 🙂 Poles. We learn the names of fruits, vegetables and other food products that can be found at the market. We compare prices, shop and learn to haggle. 🙂
“Polski na luzie”
if you want to test your Polish outside of school, this meeting is for you. An interactive city game full of field tasks and information about the culture of Krakow is not only time spent actively, but also a large dose of knowledge combined with language practice.
A photo is a word that is a huge challenge at the beginning of learning Polish :). While visiting the museum, you will perform language tasks and find out, among other things, where the name came from. We will describe, speculate about the history of museum photos, and finally we will take a Polaroid photo ourselves :).
“Mam do załatwienia kilka spraw...”
What words and phrases do you need to communicate quickly and well in different places. We play roles and practice dialogues: at the information point, at the train station, in the shop, at the market, in the office and in the bank.
We learn vocabulary related to interpersonal relationships. We express wishes, expectations and obligations. Love, solidarity, cooperation, as well as mitigating conflicts, establishing contacts, caring for cordial relations will be the topics of our conversations. By entering different roles, we will describe the world of feelings.
